Goose Island Retreat at Lake Gaston

Welcome to Goose Island Retreat! We call it “Goose Island Retreat” because of the cute little island (that can totally be explored) right out in front of the dock. The geese enjoy gathering there during mating season.

~ The home offers a fully stocked, open kitchen with a second full-sized refrigerator downstairs, perfect for 2 to 3 families. The home sleeps 12.

~ Enjoy the boat house where you can have drinks at the bar (there is a refrigerator there too!)

~ Dip your feet in the water, and get adventurous and jump off the top balcony. No worries on touching bottom – it’s 23’ deep at the end of the dock! 

~ Enjoy the paddle board, water mat or canoe.  Two kayaks are also included for you to enjoy on the lake during your stay.  The boat slips are not available to use, but you can tie your boat up to either side of the dock.  If you need to rent a boat, we can help you with that, just let us know you'd like a referral!

~ Inside the house, enjoy foosball and lots of games and toys for the kids. 

~ Mornings are wonderful for reading your book in the screened room. Afternoons get shade on the patio and you can enjoy the firepit at night for s'mores. 

~ Hotel quality cleanliness, including mattress encasements on all beds. This lake home truly has it ALL!

~ A maximum of two dogs are allowed and are at least one year and older, up to date on shots, and on flea/tick medication. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $125 for the first $75 for the second.

~ Main Floor Guest Bedroom - 1 Double Bed
~ Lower Level Primary Bedroom - 1 Queen Bed
~ Bunk Room - 2 Bunk Beds (lower level double, upper level single) which sleeps 6 total

CHECK-IN TIME:  4:00 PM EST
If the property is ready earlier than 4:00 PM, we will contact you. There is no extra charge for an early check-in, when available.  Our properties have remote access and codes will be provided 3 days before check-in via e-mail, so there is no need to pick up a key.  You can check in at your convenience.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 AM EST

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before arrival will receive a 100% refund, minus any non-refundable service fees. Bookings cancelled 30 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund, minus any non-refundable service fees. Any bookings cancelled within 30 days of your arrival are non-refundable.

PETS:
This is a dog-friendly property with deposits. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed with prior approval and a pet fee. Dogs must be at least one year old, up to date on all vaccinations, and up to date on flea and tick medication. All waste must be cleaned up from the property. 

SMOKING:
Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Any evidence of smoking inside the property will result in a remediation fee charged to your credit card on file. If you smoke outside, it must be away from the home to avoid the smell entering the home and you must clean up all butts.

VERY IMPORTANT: 
Every home is on SEPTIC, not sewer…nothing down the toilet or sinks except water, human waste, & TP.  No grease, feminine products, etc.  This will ruin a vacation and if said products found to correct a septic issue, the renter will be charged to clean the septic.

AC (Air Conditioning):
Please do not set your AC below 70, especially during hot summer days, if the AC freezes up during your stay and the thermostat was below 70, you will be charged for repair.
